People/Place Cards

Regular followers of Nomad will know that we have been actively involved in researching ‘people centered places’ over the last five years.  During this time we have carried out 10 research projects in Education and 3 in Healthcare.  The projects span the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland and comprise  350 + interviews, 500 + maps, 30 + participatory design workshops, 50 + Cultural Probes, 4 Social Networks, and countless days of observation of students, service staff and academics.  The People/Places cards are one of the products that we have been working on as a result of all this hard work.  The People/Places cards are aimed at design partitioners, building professionals, educators and anyone who has an interest in people centred design.  The data contained in the cards is drawn from a meta – analysis of the projects above and marry up detailed information about spaces, places and people along with design principles and instructions for a design workshop. The cards a primarily focused on learning environments but we have found that much of the information is useful for healthcare environments too.    If you would like to know more about the People/Places Cards email us at info@nomad-rdc.com.
