Bit of Friday History

Over the last few weeks Kirsten has been doing quite a bit of research for our project at Stobhill Hospital.  She has been looking for images and objects which illustrate cultural references from the North and East of Glasgow over the past forty years or so.  The concept is that these items will help to stimulate conversation between visitors and patients who are suffering from dementia.   Kirsten has been discussing this with the People’s Palace (who apparently do a leading scheme for some of their artefacts) and she has also been in touch with the Mitchell Library where she dug up these two brilliant images of the street our HQ is in.    Sadly the building our studio is in is just out of the picture – However it is still good to see how some of the odder aspects of our street have evolved.

If you have any images or cultural information about the North or East of Glasgow you would like to share we would love to hear from you – drop us a line at info@nomad-rdc.com.
