Camper Bike – Kevin Cyr

Nomadic vehicles and shelters have always been a source of fascination for us and our interest in these has been the inspiration for our use of micro architecture in interior spaces.  We have been huge fans of artists  Krzysztof Wodiczko who collaborated with the homeless community to produce his Homelss Vehicle Project in New York in the 80’s and more recently Lucy Orta and her Refuge Wear/Body Architecture first created in the 90’s.  It’s been a while since we found something inspirational but the other day we happened upon the work of Kevin Cyr which is really fascinating, odd, funny and inspirational.  We particularly like  the Home in the Woods exhibition and the Camper Bike.  http://www.kevincyr.net/index.php?/project/camper-bike/
